摘要 <p>The sieve component (1) has sides (6, 7) facing the approaching- and departing flows and is formed by parallel sieve sections (3) which leave open slots (4) between themselves. The trailing sides (11) of the sections formed by the profiled rods (5), are rounded up to the transition between the approaching flow side (6) and the slots (4). On the approach side, the cross-sectional widths slot entries, exceed those on the side of departing flow. Surfaces (8) on the side of departing flow are planar. Width (b) of the rods on this side is characteristic of the sieve, and is dimensioned as a function of the fiber length being sorted, being at least 0.8 times the fiber length. The slot width (w) at the outlet is preferably 2-3 mm. The rounded profiles between the side of approaching flow (6) and the leading side edges (10), and those between the side of approaching flow and the rear side, are described by the same, or different radii. The rods are symmetrical about a plane at right angles to that including the rod axes. Supports are fastened to the rods by interlocking, interference fit or material bonding. Alternative sieve dimensions are proposed. The sieve is formed into a cylindrical basket, with approaching flow on the internal side. It has an inlet for fibrous suspension, an outlet for the sorted suspension and a reject outlet for unwanted material.</p>
