A wire-spoked invalid chair wheel having a wired-on rubber tyre 11 on its wheel rim 10 is provided with a continuous hand ring 14 of substantially closed loop section which is integrally connected to one side of the rim 10 by a continuous web 13 which slopes radially inwardly and laterally outwardly to the ring 14. The integral rim and hand ring may be extruded in strip form to the desired section, the strip being subsequently bent to circular shape and its ends welded together. |
