A vehicle seat comprises a pop-up electronic display 18, a display ejection mechanism 40, a locking mechanism 66 and a lock actuating mechanism 84. The display ejection mechanism is configured to automatically eject the display from a loaded position within the seat back to an unloaded position. The locking mechanism has a locked state in which it restrains the ejection mechanism and an unlocked state in which it allows the ejection mechanism to eject the display. The lock actuating mechanism may be configured to unlock the locking mechanism in response to electrical and mechanical stimulants. The lock actuating mechanism may include a push-button lever 86 connected to cams 92, 94, the cams being configured to engage teeth on keys 68, 70 to retract the keys from corresponding key-holes 72, 74. The lock actuating mechanism may include a shape memory alloy element configured to unlock the locking mechanism in response to an electrical stimulant. The ejection mechanism may include a spring 58 to bias the display into the unloaded position. Also disclosed is a key to key-hole lock for use with such a vehicle seat. |
