<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of performing supply of fuel without excess fuel injection quantity at actual fuel injection timing. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel supply method for an engine, an engine controller 41 includes processing procedures of calculating, when a predetermined timing before a first fuel injection timing comes, an estimated value of fuel pressure acting on a fuel injection valve at the first fuel injection timing as a first fuel pressure estimated value or an estimated value of fuel pressure acting on the fuel injection valve at a second fuel injection timing coming after the first fuel injection timing as a second fuel pressure estimated value in advance; correcting the fuel injection quantity based on the first fuel pressure estimated value; opening the fuel injection valve when the first fuel injection timing comes so as to supply this corrected fuel injection quantity; correcting the fuel injection quantity based on the second fuel pressure estimated value; and opening the fuel injection valve when the second fuel injection timing comes so as to supply this corrected fuel injection quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
