<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which has a high output and a long service life. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device includes a light source, a light guiding member which is flexible and guides light emitted from the light source, and a wavelength conversion member which absorbs at least some of light guided by the light guiding member and converts it into light of different wavelength.
