PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a flexibility measuring instrument of a cable for measuring the flexibility of the cable and good in workability. SOLUTION: The flexibility measuring instrument of the cable is equipped with a fixing stand 1 for supporting parallelly arranged cables 11 and 12 to be measured in a state that one ends of them are protruded in a horizontal direction from the end part of a placing surface 1A in a cantilevered state; and a holding member 2 capable of selecting the state brought into contact with the cables 11 and 12 to be measured so that the cantilevered parts 11A and 12A of the cables 11 and 12 to be measured supported on the fixing stand 1 are not bent downward and a state retracted from the cables 11 and 12 to be measured to release the contact of the cantilevered parts 11A and 12A of the cables 11 and 12 to be measured. When the flexibility of the cables 11 and 12 to be measured is measured, the holding member 2 is retracted from the cables 11 and 12 to be measured and the cantilevered parts 11A and 12A of the cables 11 and 12 to be measured are bent by the own weights thereof. Also, the flexibility of the cables 11 and 12 are determined from the deformation quantities of the cables 11 and 12 to be measured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
