PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for easily dealing with a change in a wire harness, and maintaining the accuracy of an appearance inspection of the wire harness to a fixed level. SOLUTION: The wire harness 10 is held on a wire harness holding member 20. An abutted member 160 is provided in a harness holding post 24, and an identification mark 130 is attached to the abutted member 160. An abutting member 164 is integrally provided in an imaging section 140, and a position information acquiring camera 132 is attached to a tip of the abutting member 164. The tip of the abutting member 164 abuts against the abutted member 160. The imaging section 140 captures the image of a region to be inspected. The position to be inspected is identified, based on an image of the identification mark 130 captured by the position information acquiring camera 132, and pass or fail of the appearance inspection is determined, based on the image captured by the imaging section 140.
