PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame joint for securely and easily connecting frames together by means of a simpler structure. SOLUTION: In a rectangular frame having male joints and female joints that can be connected together in large numbers in either a vertical or horizontal direction, the male joint comprises an end piece extending outward from an end of the base of the frame and a tongue piece protruding outward from a projecting side of the end piece, with a mating protrusion provided on the end piece. The female joint comprises a hole part provided in a side of the base and a bottom plate provided inside the frame corresponding to the position of the hole part. The bottom plate is provided with a mating hole that mates with the mating protrusion. The bottom plate is provided in a position higher than the bottom of the base by a height corresponding to the thickness of the end piece. To facilitate mating, the protrusion on the end piece and the mating hole are used as guides to lower the end of the frame from top to bottom to move the tongue piece backward. After the mating is complete, the tongue piece returns and the lower end face of a mating receiving part moves upward accordingly to prevent the mating from coming free. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
