The solid matter charging device for a fermenter of a biogas plant has a control unit for the operation of a biomass dosing device for dosing solid matter depending upon predetermined dosing parameters. The biomass dosing device has a feed unit (5) operated by the control unit (4), whereby for forming a biomass store a number of compressed biomass solid matter balls (7) of a predetermined weight are located on the feed unit which correspond to the biomass solid matter volume supplied to the fermenter container (11) for a predetermined dosing time period. An independent claim is included for a method for the operating of a biogas plant solid matter charging device. |
