#CMT# #/CMT# Cosmetic preparation (I) comprises 1,2-decandiol (0.1-1 wt.%) and acrylate cross polymers (0.1-0.5 wt.%). #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is included for an emulsion comprising oil-in-water emulsifiers such as glyceryl stearate, polyethylene glycol-40 stearate, triglycerine methylglucose distearate, polyglyceryl-3 methyl glucose distearate, polyethylene glycol(21)stearyl ether, polyethylene glycol(2)stearyl ether, cetearyl glucoside, glyceryl stearate citrate, sodium cetearyl sulfate, cetearyl alcohol and/or sorbitan stearate. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# (I) is useful to care skin, and as decorative cosmetics, make-up and body cleaning products. (I) is useful as sun protection agent. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# (I) maintains, improves and embellishes the skin. (I) improves combing capability of hair. (I) provides softness and smoothness feeling to the skin. (I) exhibits compatibility and storage stability. The hydrodispersion contains very low amount of emulsifiers (up to 2 wt.%) or even completely free of emulsifiers. (I) protects against UV-A and UV-B radiation. (I) easily distributes on the skin. #CMT#ORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The amount of 1,2-decandiol is 0.3-0.7 wt.%, preferably 0.5 wt.%. The acrylate cross polymer is polymeric emulsifiers. The acrylate cross polymers available under Pemulen TR-1 (RTM: Versatile polymeric emulsifier), Pemulen TR-2 (RTM: Polymeric emulsifier), Carbopol 1342 (RTM: Polymer acrylates), Carbopol 1382 (RTM: Polymer acrylates) and Carbopol ETD 2020 (RTM: Polymer acrylates) of the company NOVEON. (I) is in the form of emulsion, hydrodispersion or oil-in-water type of fine dispersed system. (I) is in the form of gel and comprises hydrocolloids as thickeners. #CMT#EXAMPLE : #/CMT# Typical oil-in-water lotion composition comprised (in wt.%) of: glyceryl stearate and polyethylene glycol-100 stearate (1.3); steareth-2 (1.4); ceteareth-20 (1); 12-15C alkyl benzoate (3.5); octyldodecanol (3); dimethicone (1); cyclomethicone (6); 1,2 decandiol (0.5); sensoric modifier (talc, starch, etc) (1); butyl methoxy benzoyl-methane (1); ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate (3); acrylate/10-30C alkyl acrylate cross polymer (0.15); magnesium aluminum silicate (0.05); glycerin (10); ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (1); preservative and sodium hydroxide (sufficient quantity); and water (made up to 100 wt.%). |
