An apparatus for turning the direction of a glass panel is provided to reduce the tact time of the overall process by a continuous conveying and turning process, to maximize the space utilization efficiency, and to improve the cost-efficiency. An apparatus for turning the direction of a glass panel comprises a plurality of conveying rollers(110), and a turn stage installed between one roller and another roller, elevated/dropped by an underlying up/down cylinder(120) and rotated by a turning motor(140). In the apparatus, the turn stage comprises: a plurality of supporting members forming the same plane when rotating by 90 deg. about the central shaft(141) of the turning motor; and a position detection sensor(150) fixed by an elevating plate(160) elevated by the up/down cylinder so as to detect and control accurately the rotation angle generated by the turning motor.
