<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent concentration of content acquisition requests from network players on one network server in content distribution system and network server. <P>SOLUTION: When a network player transmits a content acquisition request to a network server, the network server detects the load of a CPU and if the load state of the CPU exceeds a load threshold of the CPU (YES at S22), a decision is made whether the requested content has been copied in any network server on the network or not (S24). If it has been copied (YES at S25), the content URI and server ID are acquired from an HDD and then transmitted to the network player (S26).
