PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commercial message (CM) data display system in which a CM that a viewer does not want to see can be easily skipped while holding a time allocated to the CM and which can be accomplished by a present broadcasting scheme. SOLUTION: The CM data display system comprises a database 2 which is connected to a network, storing data containing CM data for reproducing and displaying the CM of a program sponsor and CM insert time information indicating starting and ending times of CM insertion, and a broadcast receiving terminal 10 which receives and displays a program, transmits information for specifying the received program to the database 2, receives and holds from the database 2 data containing the CM data of the sponsor of the received program and the CM insertion time information. The broadcast receiving terminal 10 uses the CM insertion time information from the database 2 to reproduce and display the CM data received from the database 2 in place of the CM received in the broadcast.
