PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary power supply for railroad vehicle which can suppress the increase in weight and cost, without reducing power output, even if a part of the auxiliary power supply breaks down. SOLUTION: The auxiliary power supply for railroad vehicle comprises two inverters connected in parallel with the power supply, an output transformer for connecting the primary side, such that the outputs of the two inverters become in series, a standby inverter for either of the two inverters, and a contactor for switching the failed inverter, to the standby inverter when either of the two inverters fails.
