PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent popping sound during releasing/returning a standby mode, to prevent an increase in manufacturing cost and an amounting area, and to suppress power consumption. SOLUTION: This controller of a sound mute circuit is provided with: "a sound mute circuit for preventing a sound outputting means from outputting a sound signal from a sound signal output circuit 1"; "a sound mute driving circuit 5 for outputting a mute signal for operating the sound mute circuit 4 to the sound mute circuit 4"; "a sound mute power supply circuit 6 that is fed even in a standby mode and feeds power to the sound mute driving circuit 5"; and "a system controller 8 that is fed even in the standby mode, operates the sound mute circuit 4 by the sound mute driving circuit 5 and the sound mute power supply circuit 6 before feeding power to the sound signal output circuit 1 during releasing the standby mode, and stops the operation of the sound mute circuit 4 after stopping power feeding to the sound signal output circuit 1 during returning to the standby mode".
