PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold water producing system that uses a steam ejector capable of materializing high efficiency and reduction of running cost by operating the steam ejector at higher mass flow rate, while keeping suction steam quantity by the steam ejector as high as possible. SOLUTION: This cold water producing system that uses the steam ejector 6 is provided with a vacuum type cooling tower 7, connected to the steam ejector 6 and a buffer tank part 20 connected to the vacuum-type cooling tower 7. The buffer tank part 20 is constructed by using a cooling water storage part 2, communicating with a cold water supply line and a make-up water storage part 23, communicating with the make-up water supply line.
