PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring device and a control valve capable of stably preventing vibration (hunting) of a spring energizing a valve element, and hardly generating abrasion powder. SOLUTION: This compression coil spring device has a compression coil spring 1 having an approximate polygonal cross-section 1b in a state that one side 1c of the polygonal shape forms a part of an approximate conical face W having an axis approximately on a spring center line C, and a counter-side member 2 having a face 2c kept into contact with one side 1c of the polygonal shape in a state that the contact face 2c also forms a part of the approximate conical shape W having the axis approximately on the spring center line C.
