PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic agent for psychogenic pain having excellent therapeutic effects on the psychogenic pain which is an intractable disease. SOLUTION: The therapeutic agent for the psychogenic pain comprises a PNMT (phenylethanolamine N-methyltransferase) inhibitor such as DCMB ä(±)-2,3-dichloro-α-methylbenzylamine} as an active ingredient. A medicinal composition for treating the psychogenic pain comprising the PNMT inhibitor as the active ingredient is provided.
