PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic agent for psychogenic pain having excellent therapeutic effects on the psychogenic pain which is an intractable disease. SOLUTION: The problems are solved by the therapeutic agent for the psychogenic pain comprising a PPAR (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor) antagonist [especially a PPAR-γ-selective antagonist (e.g. 2-chloro-5-nitro-N-phenylbenzamide)] as an active ingredient, a medicinal composition for treating the psychogenic pain comprising the PPAR antagonist as the active ingredient, a therapeutic method, etc., for the psychogenic pain using the PPAR antagonist.
