PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a seat plate movable chair in which sitting in a chair or rising from the chair in a person with weak legs can be easily done. SOLUTION: An elevating device 10, which can perform expansion and contraction regulation in an up-and-down direction, is formed in a chair frame 2; a seat plate 45 is mounted on the upper part of the elevating device 10 by horizontal arrangement; the anterior part of the seat plate 45 is connected rotatably with the elevating device 10 centering around right and left shaft centres, and a spring 48, which makes the seat plate 45 tilt forward centering around the right and left shaft centres, and a locking mechanism 50, which regulates the forward tilt of the seat plate 45, are formed.
