<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs without spoiling reliability of an electro-optical device. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device D comprises: an electro-optical substrate 10 formed with an input terminal 300a at an edge part to which an image data for specifying a gray scale of an electro-optical element is input in a serial form; a data line driving circuit 200 which is disposed on the electro-optical substrate 10 and drives the electro-optical element according to the gray scale specified by the image data; and a control circuit 300 which is mounted on the electro-optical substrate 10 and converts the serial form image data supplied from the input terminal 300a into a parallel form to provide the data line driving circuit 200 therewith. The input terminal 300a and the control circuit 300 are located so that the distance between both of them is shorter than the distance from the input terminal 300a to the data driving circuit 200. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
