<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display element 11 capable of reducing image cross-talk in multiple view, and improving also brightness and display quality when viewing it from the front in mono view. <P>SOLUTION: Different images are displayed by a pixel group of a plurality of pixels 27a and a pixel group of a plurality of pixels 27b which are located alternatively in a display device 21. A parallax barrier layer 32 which separates the image of each pixel group in the display device 21 by parallax and makes the images to be displayed is formed. The shape of the parallax barrier layer 32 has a width in the direction parallel to the direction of separating the images by parallax, and when the height is defined in the direction perpendicular to the front face of the display device 21, a dimensional relation is "width < height". Image cross-talk in multiple view is reduced by the parallax barrier layer 32. The brightness and image quality are improved by improving an aperture ratio between the parallax barrier layers 32 when viewing from the front in mono view. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
