PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform storage processing efficiently in an imaging apparatus which can be separated into two units. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus can be separated into a first unit and a second unit where each unit is provided with a processor performing image processing. When the first and second units are separated, the first unit performs image processing on the image data before it is transmitted to the second unit.
