PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle steering device for actualizing smooth change-over of transmission ratio variable property without giving an adverse influences to vehicle behavior or a steering feeling or causing neutral shift. SOLUTION: A gear ratio variable control computation part computes a gear ratio variable command angle to hold the plurality of transmission ratio variable properties previously specified corresponding to modes in the form of a map, and to develop the transmission ratio variable property specified by the map, by consulting the map corresponding to the selected mode. The gear ratio variable control computation part suspends the change-over of the map to be consulted in gear ratio variable control when a steering angleθs is a predetermined threshold valveαor greater (Step 102: NO) even after the mode to newly transit to is selected (Step 101: YES).
