PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-reinforced plastic molded object having a high surface quality not reflecting the unevenness due to reinforcing fibers. SOLUTION: This fiber-reinforced plastic molded object 1 includes a base part 6 of a fiber-reinforced plastic composed of a matrix resin 4 and reinforcing fibers 5, and a surface layer part integrally joined with one surface of the base part 6 by thermally molding resin powders 3 together with the base part 6 under pressure using a mold, wherein the surface layer part has higher rigidity than that of the matrix resin during cooling after thermal molding under pressure and also a molding surface formed by a mold profile.
