摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence device having a layer formed through a wet film-forming process, in which the layer is less likely to crystallize and has a high light-emission efficiency. SOLUTION: A charge transport material composed of a chemical compound is provided in which an energy difference between the excited triplet state and the ground state is 2.9 eV or higher and a glass-transition temperature is 120°C or higher. The compound is soluble in toluene preferably as much as 2 wt.% or more, in which the first oxidation potential is 1.4V vs. SCE or lower and the first reduction potential is -2.6 V vs. SCE or higher. By setting to predetermined or higher values the energy difference between the excited triplet state and the ground state of the charge transport material in a composition employed for forming an organic light-emitting layer through a wet film-forming process and the glass transition temperature of the charge transport material, it is enabled to obtain an organic thin film having a uniform film quality and less likely to crystallize and in addition to obtain an organic electroluminescence device having a high light-emission efficiency and a high practicality.
