PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively obtain a reel and a recording tape cartridge, which can reinforce a hub. SOLUTION: The hub 22 is formed by integrally molding a metal ring 110 in the inside of a resin ring 112, which improves strength of the hub 22. Moreover, an engagement piece 118 and a projection piece 120 are formed between a rib 116 for a gate of the hub 22 and a rib 116 for the gate; an engagement space 128 through which the engagement piece 118 can pass are provided on a lower flange 26 by lower circular ribs 126; and notches 130 in which the protrusion piece 120 can be inserted are provided on a pedestal 124. The rotation of the hub 22 to the lower flange 26 is inhibited by passing the engagement piece 118 through the engagement spaces 128, and inserting the projection piece 120 into the notches 130. In this way, it is not necessary to process concave portions for inhibiting rotation or the like onto the metal ring because a rotation stopper is formed with a resin, thereby achieving reduction in cost.
