PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method and a simulator which can reproduce simulation result at real-time speed and repeatedly. SOLUTION: A simulator 10 has a simulation execution part 12 which executes a program of verification object, a trace data recording part 13 which records its result, and a simulation reproducing part 15. The simulation reproducing part 15 has a conversion part 33 which converts a trace data file 23 recorded by the trace data recording part 13 to a reproducing timing information file 43 responding to reproducing speed referring to a platform information table 41, a timer 53 and a reproducing part 34 which reproduces the simulation result based on the reproducing timing information and using loop action of the timer 53.
