PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting undocking by a person other than an original user in a computer connected to a docking station by a locking mechanism. SOLUTION: The computer is operated in a first state where a user performs operation input and in a second state where the user can not perform the operation input. Also, when returning from the second state to the first state, the user is requested to input authentication information. When the computer is operated in the second state, undocking is inhibited.
