摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metal oxide particles excellent in electrostatic property, electric property stability, and pinhole leak resistance and obtaining an image quality stabilized over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The metal oxide particles are produced by a surface treatment method which comprises a process for preparing a microreactor having the first, second, and third minute channels for respectively sending the solutions of three kinds of compositions, an intermediate confluence channel, and a final confluence channel; a process for treating the surface of the metal oxide particles in the intermediate confluence channel by sending the solution of the first composition containing a solvent and the metal oxide particles into the first minute channel and sending the solution of the second composition containing a solvent and a surface treatment agent reactive with the metal oxide particles into the second minute channel; and a process for deactivating excess of the surface treatment agent in the final confluence channel by sending the solution of the third composition containing a solvent and a deactivator for deactivating the surface treatment agent into the third minute channel.
