PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively release heat generated in a stator coil. SOLUTION: In this electric pump 10, a shaft 46 is partially in direct contact with a stator 33, and also partially in direct contact with a liquid within a second housing 20. Therefore, the heat generated in the stator coil 35 is conducted to the shaft 46, and further conducted from the shaft 46 to the liquid in the second housing 20. Since the liquid in the second housing 20 is frequently replaced by rotating the rotor 43, the heat conducted to the shaft 46 is conducted to the successively replaced liquid and released. The shaft 46 is further in direct contact with a rotor 43, and the rotor 43 is in contact with the liquid. Therefore, the heat conducted to the shaft 46 is conducted also to the rotor 43, then conducted to the successively replaced liquid, and released. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
