GENE THAT REGULATES COLOR OF SHELL OF PEARL OYSTER AND PEARL AND PROTEIN ENCODED BY THE SAME

摘要

It is intended to contribute to promotion of efficiency and development of pearl farming by dramatically increasing the information of a gene associated with color of shell and pearl and the like. By two approaches of an exhaustive analysis (EST analysis) of cDNA of mantle of pearl oyester and identification of protein by TOF-MS, identification of a gene associated with regulation of color of pearl and shell was efficiently carried out. As a result, two tyrosinase genes specifically expressed in the mantle were identified.
