A mobile terminal with an ear-mic and an operation method thereof are provided to confirm a phone number list through the button operation of an ear-mic, easily select a phone number, and selectively make a call connection by outputting a phone number list as voice according to the frequency of calls. A mobile terminal comprises an interface part(80), a voice synthesis part(30), and a control part(50). The interface part(80), into which an ear-mic(90) is inserted, transmits and receives signals with the ear-mic(90). The voice synthesis part(30) converts inputted characters into audio signals. The control part(50) converts specific phone number data of a phone number list, created according to the frequency of calls, into an audio signal through the voice synthesis part(30) and outputs the converted audio signal through the ear-mic(90).
