<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump and an exhale valve assembly which are suitable for an artificial respiration apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The reciprocating pump, which is suitable for a ventilator and can reciprocate axially in a cylinder 10, comprises a piston 13 dividing the inner space into an inhale chamber and an exhale chamber, a wall 12 fixed within the inhale chamber, and a driver 16 fixed to the wall, wherein the driver comprises a motor M, a rotor 17 rotated by the motor, a nut 18 rotating within the driver, and a screw 21 screwed in the one end of the nut and fixed to the other end of the piston. The piston is designed to move axially and rotatably. The motor rotates the nut to roll back and forth, allowing the screw and the piston to reciprocate axially within the cylinder and rotate against the cylinder to achieve equaled friction between the piston and the cylinder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
