<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a piezoelectric actuator wherein the piezoelectric actuator is securely driven, power consumption is reduced, and dispersion of driving speed of a driven body is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In the driving method of the piezoelectric actuator, a frequency of a driving signal supplied to a piezoelectric element is swept within a predetermined range, and a detection signal indicating an oscillation state of an oscillating body having the piezoelectric element is detected. Then, after at first the detection signal becomes a predetermined threshold or more, the frequency of the driving signal supplied to the piezoelectric element is swept within a range in which its threshold or more is obtained. Since the frequency of the driving signal is changed within the range in which the detection signal becomes the predetermined threshold or more, the piezoelectric element is securely driven. Wasteful driving signal output time is saved during which the driven body cannot be driven, wasteful current consumption is reduced, efficiency is improved, dispersion of driving time within predetermined time is reduced even if there exists fluctuation of a load or the like, and the dispersion of the driving speed of the driven body is also reduced which is driven by the oscillating body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
