PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device for an electrophotographic printer which exhibits stable performance and improves printing quality.

SOLUTION: The developing device 5 for the electrophotographic printer 1 is equipped with: a supply path 37 having at least one stirring/conveying roller 27 stirring and conveying carrier and toner electrified in contact with the carrier; and a developing roller 25 installed on the photoreceptor 3 side of the supply path 37, having an outer surface 47 circulating and moving while attracting the carrier and supplying the toner adhering to the carrier to an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 3 at a supply position. It is equipped with a collecting part for collecting the carrier from the outer surface 47 at the position downstream of the supply position in the moving direction of the outer surface 47; a collecting path 39 for conveying the carrier collected by the collecting part and circularly supplying it to the supply path 37; and a toner concentration adjusting device 35 installed in the collecting path 39 and adjusting the ratio of the toner to the carrier conveyed by the collecting path 39 to a predetermined value.
