PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet mechanism that does not generate a satellite when jetting a liquid from a nozzle by preventing a liquid from staying at a corner part in a bubble generating chamber. SOLUTION: The liquid jet mechanism comprises a nozzle plate having the nozzle formed thereon, a substrate having a heating element opposite to the nozzle plate, and the bubble generating chamber that generates and enlarges an ejection bubble for ejecting a liquid in its inner section from the nozzle by means of the heating element, the bubble generating chamber being constituted such that the inner diameter at the boundary part to the nozzle plate is made greater than the inner diameter of the nozzle. The liquid jet mechanism further comprises a heating element driving means for driving the heating element so as to generate and enlarge the ejection bubble, a liquid storage chamber for storing the liquid to be supplied to the bubble generating chamber through a supply channel, and a bubble mixing means for mixing the bubble into the liquid in the liquid storage chamber.
