PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive method for retaining a lengthy support member and a wiper blade inside of a mounting member with a connection member of a low cost and easy execution having the highest reliability and strength. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for the wiper blade for the windshield of the automobile, the blade is provided with at least one mounting member arranged in a longitudinal direction in which a housing and a mounting rail are arranged in parallel to an axis in a longitudinal direction of the mounting member; the elastically deformable and lengthy support member arranged in the housing of the mounting member; and a wiper strip having a heel interlocked in the rail of the mounting member. The manufacturing method includes a step for fixing the lengthy support member and the wiper strip in the housing and the rail of the mounting member in the longitudinal direction by thermally deforming at least one end in the longitudinal direction of the mounting member.
