SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACSIMILE COMMUNICATION SAFE IN SECURITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for facsimile transmission safe in security in which only a designated recipient can receive a facsimile and can confirms a sender. SOLUTION: A document to be transmitted is encrypted using a private key of a sending user and digitally signed. The digitally signed document is further encrypted using a public key of a recipient and FAX-transmitted to the recipient. A device that receives the FAX, specifies a designated receiving user, notifies the designated receiving user about the receipt of a FAX job, and the recipient logs in the receiving device. The receiving device retrieves a public key of the sender and a private key of the recipient from a server and decrypts the received document using the retrieved keys. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
