PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an HDD from impact, for example, when a folding type mobile terminal is connected to a cradle or is folded. SOLUTION: The mobile telephone terminal 1 includes the HDD. The cradle 2 has a holding portion 3 in which the mobile telephone terminal 1 is held and a terminal which is connected to a power supply terminal or a signal terminal of the terminal 1 is provided. The mobile telephone terminal 1 includes a detection switch, a hall sensor, or the like which can detect the insertion when the mobile telephone terminal 1 is inserted into the holding portion of the cradle 2. When the detection switch or hall sensor detects insertion of the mobile telephone terminal 1 into the holding portion 3 of the cradle 2, a magnetic head of the internal HDD is retracted and inactivated.
