PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compact in size transmitter receiver used for a wireless communication system which performs transmission and reception on a time-division basis like a wireless LAN by eliminating the need for an attenuator between a transmission/reception switch and a receiving circuit. SOLUTION: When the intensity of a reception signal is larger than a certain level, the wireless communication system which performs transmission and reception on a time-division basis like a wireless LAN switches the transmission/reception switch (12) to the side of a power amplifier (13) for transmission even during reception to attenuate the reception signal by the transmission/reception switch and then input the signal to a receiving circuit.
