PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both a keyhole protecting cover and a cover for covering a thumb-turn to be easily attached by the same attachment method. SOLUTION: Decorative seats 4a and 8a for a lock, which are provided with threads, respectively, serve as attachment bases for the protecting cover 6a and an emergency cover 10a, so that the protecting cover and the emergency cover can be screwed to the decorative seats, respectively. In the case of a lock with no decorative seat, the attachment bases for the protecting cover and the emergency cover are constituted by providing threads in a decorative ring, a cylinder tube and a thumb-turn tube, respectively. Consequently, the protecting cover and the emergency cover can be assembled to the cylinders and the thumb-turns of many kinds of locks. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
