PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful therapeutic method promoting differentiation and survival of muscle. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the medicine for therapy or prevention of disorder of smooth muscle by inducing promotion of cell division, growth, differentiation or survival of muscular cells of smooth muscle, which comprises a polypeptide or a compound binding with a receptor on the muscular cell of the smooth muscle or activating a second message system of the muscular cell of the smooth muscle.
