PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate maintenance of a buffer material installed in a guide rail in a domestic elevator with a guide roller of an elevating body guided by a guide rail in an elevator shaft. SOLUTION: An adjusting tool 27 assembled and fixed in a state movable up and down is installed in the upper end part of the buffer material 20 fit into fitting recessed grooves R of first to fifth guide pieces 8a, 8b, 8c, 10a, 10b, 10c, 13a, 13b, 13c, 7b, 7c, 9b, 9c, 12b, and 12c, and the contraction of the buffer material is corrected by moving the adjusting tool downward.
