The rotary slide valve has a torsion bar, a rotary slide and a control sleeve. The rotary slide has a pressure groove, which is supplied with a hydraulic medium which is under pressure from a hydraulic pump (3). The hydraulic medium, from working chambers of a hydraulic cylinder (5), flows in return run through two relieving grooves, by which the return line stays in contact with a suction side. Devices (17) are provided to enable, in the return line, a permanent leakage flow of hydraulic medium that is under pressure.
