A system is provided to realize a learning support or a desired device operation for a user without his or her answer input. A service providing system is comprised of an output unit for asking a user questions and for offering a plurality of choices as candidates of answers to them, a signal detecting unit for measuring an event related electrical potential of user's brain waves, and a judging unit for judging whether or not the user thinks that each choice is a correct answer in accordance with the event related electrical potential for a prescribed period of time, for example, about 350 msec. to about 450 msec. after each choice has been offered.
