<p>An apparatus for detecting a speeding vehicle is disclosed. The apparatus monitors a broad area of a road using a low-magnification camera, captures a speeding vehicle using a high-magnification camera, and is able to vary the direction of a laser beam emitted to measure a vehicle speed. Therefore, the range of the monitored area of the speeding vehicle becomes wider, the user' s saf ery is guaranteed, the laser beam is focused on the target vehicle with high precision, and the zoom-in image of the high-magnification camera and peripheral images of the low-magnification camera for the violating vehicle are simultaneously acquired, resulting in increased reliability of violation evidences of the corresponding vehicle.</p> |
