A system and method for amending the information of the multimedia file, the system comprising an information saving module and an information amending module, wherein the information saving module is used for saving the determined information of the multimedia file; the information amending module is used for looking up the determined information related to the multimedia file to be amended in the information saving module, and replacing the information of the multimedia file with the determined information which has been looked up. A method for amending the information of the multimedia file, the method comprising: A) looking up the determined information related to the information of the multimedia file to be amended in the determined information of the multimedia file base on the information of the multimedia file to be amended; B) replacing the information of the multimedia file to be amended with the determined information which has been looked up.
