METHOD OF PRODUCING INSERTION SECTION OF ENDOSCOPE

A method of producing an insertion section of an endoscope. The endoscope has a bending section (5) where node rings (31) are arranged side by side in the direction of insertion of the insertion section (2) of the endoscope and where node rings (31) adjacent to each other in the forward-backward direction are interconnected so as to be pivotable about a rivet (35). To produce such a bending section (5), the method has an assembly step where wire guides (37) of the node rings (31) are sequentially inserted into a guide needle (46) provided at an assembly table (41) for the insertion section (2) of the endoscope and thus the node rings (31) are inserted in the guide needle (46) and assembled. In producing the insertion section, the node rings do not pivot each other to facilitate insertion of built-in components such as tubes and cables, the assembly is simple to reduce working man-hours and in turn to reduce production costs. The insertion section of the endoscope can be inexpensively supplied.
