PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain the heat exchanging capability of an air conditioner and to make the air conditioner compact at the same time to adapt to a high sensible heat load. SOLUTION: The air conditioner has has either one or both of a front-surface air intake 2a and a lower-surface air intake 2b in a casing 1, and has an air outlet 3 in the upper part of the casing 1. The air conditioner also has a front-side heat exchanger 5 and a back-side heat exchanger 6. The front-side heat exchanger 5 and the back-side heat exchanger 6 are disposed in the V-shape, and the angle of inclination of the front-side heat exchanger to a horizontal plane is not equal to the angle of inclination of the back-side heat exchanger to the horizontal plane.
